Michael Kosko is an elementary assistant principal in Chicago Public Schools. Prior to the role, he was a STEM Initiatives Manager for the district and taught high school science for ten years in Chicago.
He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Anthropology-Zoology and Spanish from the University of Michigan. He completed his graduate work and earned his teacher leadership certification at the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University. His master's project explored how digital feedback on student writing affected their performance and engagement during the writing process. Michael is currently a doctoral student in urban education leadership at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
